FJT- Franciscan Youth Movement in Netherlands

Franciscaans Jongerentreffen(FJT) - Franciscan Youth Movement has been organised for the young people by the Friars of the Netherlands since 2000 in Megan situated along the river Maas. This faith festival was held this year from October 5th to 7th for the thirteenth time. There were 44 youth from different parts of the Netherlands.  The theme around which the youth prayed, reflected, shared and celebrated was LE(E)F! LEEF means to live and LEF means courage. It was indeed inspiring as each one shared the moment of Courage in one's life and also the meaning and purpose of life. Through various workshops from Biblical stories to Cooking, the youth were led to discover themselves. The prayer services were specially prepared to suit the youth and the theme and it was indeed a real moment of encounter with God as the youth sat down praying. These three days were certainly days of experience of Franciscan Spirituality and the life style of the friars for the youth. The youth departed to home cherishing these  joyful days!

Movimento Giovanile Francescano in Olanda

Franciscaans Jongerentreffen (FJT) – Il Movimento Giovanile Francescano è stato organizzato per i giovani dai frati dei Paesi Bassi fin dal 2000 a Megan che è situata lungo il fiume Maas. Questo festival della fede, quest’anno si è tenuto da 5 al 7 ottobre per la tredicesima volta. Erano presenti 44 giovani provenienti da diverse parti dei Paesi Bassi. Il tema attorno al quale i giovani hanno pregato, riflettuto, condiviso e celebrato è stato LE (E) F! Leef che significa vivere e LEF che significa coraggio. E 'stato davvero stimolante ciò che  ognuno ha potuto condividere. Il coraggio nella vita e anche il significato e lo scopo della vita. Attraverso vari laboratori dalle storie bibliche alla cucina, i giovani sono stati condotti a scoprire se stessi. I momenti di preghiera sono stati appositamente preparati per aiutare i giovani e il tema.  E’ stato realmente un vero e proprio momento di incontro con Dio per il giovane  quando si sedeva a pregare. Questi tre giorni sono stati sicuramente giorni di esperienza della spiritualità francescana e dello stile di vita dei frati per la gioventù. I giovani sono rientrati nelle loro case conservando e portando con loro  questi giorni gioiosi!
