Celebrating the 800th Anniversary of The Conversion 

of St. Clare and The Founding of The Poor Sisters 

in Pacet, West Java (Indonesia)

About 200 people, 17 of whom are the Poor Clare Sisters celebrated 800 years of the conversion/ consecration of Clare and the Founding of the Order of Poor Sister on Sunday, August 12, 2012. The feast was held in the Santa Clara Monastery in Pacet, West Java (Indonesia). The solemn celebration of the eucharist was presided by Fr. Adrianus Sunarko, OFM (Minister Provincial of the Province of St. Michael Archangel (Indonesia), accompanied by Fr. Paskalis Bruno Syukur, OFM (Definitor General) and Fr. Hary Pr (Secretary of Diocese of Bogor).

In his sermon Fr. Paskalis highlighted the importance of “Remain in Jesus” (John 15:4). “The feast of 800 years of the conversion of St. Clare is a beginning St. Clare fall for Jesus with “remain in simplicity and poverty”, Fr. Paskalis said.

After the eucharist childrens of “The children’s Faith Development Program (Bina Iman Anak – BIA) in The Cipanas Parish” entertained guests with song and dance.

Celebrati gli 800 anni della Conversione di Santa Chiara e la Fondazione delle Sorelle Povere 

in Pacet, West Java (Indonesia).

Circa 200 persone, 17 delle quali  Suore Clarisse, hanno celebrato gli 800 anni della conversione / consacrazione di Chiara e la fondazione dell'Ordine dell Sorelle Sovere,  Domenica 12 agosto 2012. La festa si è tenuta nel monastero di Santa Clara in Pacet, West Java (Indonesia). La solenne celebrazione eucaristica è stata presieduta da Fr. Adrianus Sunarko, OFM (Ministro provinciale della Provincia di San Michele Arcangelo (Indonesia), accompagnato da Fr. Paskalis Bruno Syukur, OFM (Definitore generale) e Fr. Hary Pr (Segretario della diocesi di Bogor).

 Nella sua omelia Fr. Paskalis ha sottolineato l'importanza di "Remanere in Gesù" (Giovanni 15,4). "La festa degli 800 anni della conversione di S. Chiara è  l’inizio di Santa Chiara del suo  " rimanere in Gesu’ in semplicità e povertà ", ha detto Fr Paskalis.

 Dopo l’eucaristia i bambini del programma "Programma di Sviluppo della fede dei ragazzi   (Bina Iman  Anak - BIA) nella parrocchia Cipanas" hanno intrattenuto gli ospiti con canti e balli.
